Gelderlandplein honours generations of entrepreneurship with new campaign

Shopping mall Gelderlandplein is launching a new campaign focusing on many generations of entrepreneurship. Behind many familiar shops lies a family history of craftsmanship, quality and dedication.

For example, Modehuis Blok, a tenant since the opening of Gelderlandplein, has renovated its shop to appeal to younger customers and prepare for the future, under the leadership of Joost and Anne Marije, the third generation. At Bröring, the fourth generation is now at the helm, with Thomas as a bed specialist pur sang. Fishmonger Kroon has been at Gelderlandplein for 44 years, with three generations sharing a love of fish. At Moorman House of Men, the third generation, Dennis, has also joined the men’s fashion store.

At Japanese & Korean supermarket Shilla, which has been at  Gelderlandplein for 33 years, mother, daughter and son work together to offer a wide range of Japanese and Korean products, providing expats and others with a little piece of home away from home. Zwartjes van 1883 has been selling shoes since 1883 and has been doing so at Gelderlandplein since 1968, with Floris now representing the youngest generation in the shop. At Schoenmaker de Leest, son Dani continues the craft of his father, who in turn learned it from his parents.
